P03 → Let’s Play! series
Let’s Play! was a development project. Over ten months in 2011-12 we - Makeshift Ensemble - went on a journey to create a play and question our processes as we go along.
Let’s Play! provided us an opportunity to learn about theatre making from established theatre professionals through mentorship and through eight sharing events.
These open sharings also provided an opportunity for other Cork based theatre companies or artists to showcase their work, get feedback from theatre
professionals and their peers.
Let's Play! Producing was a skills sharing and networking event facilitated by Kath Gorman for emerging theatre producers.
Let's Play! Rehearsed Reading is the rehearsed reading of the "Toilet Play". Bart Capelle (Ghent, Belgium) was the dramaturgy mentor to the company in the development of the playscript.
Let's Play! Sharing was a showcasing and networking event designed for emerging theatre companies who are in development of new productions.
Let's Play! Design was a theatre design workshop and exhibition comprising scenic, costume, lighting, sound and prop design from Cork based theatre designers. T Lisa Lillywhite, Cork based scenic designer is providing mentorship to the ensemble.
Let's Play! Residency We will be in residency at the Theatre Development Centre at the Triskel. The residnecy will finish in a public sharing at 6pm on Friday 3rd February.
Let's Play! Workshop Inma Moya Pavon dancer and lecturer will hold a two day phisical theatre workshop for the members of the ensemble and others to explore phisicality on stage.
Let's Play! WIP a public sharing of ‘No One Can Hear You In There’ for an invited audience.
