P014 → PUBLIC! workshop
A multidisciplinary public art workshop as part of the public art programme of Quarter Block Party in 2017 led by artist Rhona Byrne for students and recent graduates in art, architecture and urban planning responding to South and North Main Street. After three days of the workshop the participants, together with Rhona presented the Exchange Project on the last day of the festival
The Exchange Project
An intervention on North Main St Cork, involving a durational participatory performance starting at 4pm Sunday. A durational participatory performance which culminates with a public gathering at Skiddy's Plaza. The project invited dialogue around the potential of exchange, spatial behaviour and engagement.
The Exchange project is a public outcome from a three day interdisciplinary workshop 'Public' facilitated by artist Rhona Byrne. A group of ten participants have responded to the context of North and South Main Street and have Initiated The Exchange Project as a calendar event on Main Street.
